James Maranis Chief Executive Officer

James is a technology executive and leader with over 25 years’ experience.  He has a solid track record for delivering solutions, technology, and driving business strategy. Innovative and outcome focused, with a combination of commercial skills/experience he has strong technical knowledge. James has held several CEO positions for both private and public companies, delivering large scale global developments for Banks and Exchanges across a variety of financial applications. 

Prior, James served as an executive manager for a number of major banks and was the CEO of a publicly listed company in Australia (Razor Risk), between 2002 – 2008. In this capacity, together with his team, James established the company as a leading global provider of Risk technology with offices across EMEA and the Americas, maintaining a dual listing in Australia and the UK. His responsibilities included; Business Operations, Strategy & Compliance, Business Development, M&A Activities, Capital Raising. More recently between 2009 – 2016, James was a principle and co-founder of Four Bells Advisory providing strategy, guidance and business development for APAC companies with innovative businesses wanting to expand throughout EMEA and the Americas.

 James holds bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration and has a Masters in Applied Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney.

 

J Robert Collins Director

Mr. Collins served as the President of the New York Mercantile Exchange (then the largest commodities exchange in the world) from 2001-2004. During that time, he led NYMEX to an initial S & P credit rating of A++, its recognition by Energy Risk magazine as the 2004 “Exchange of the Year” and its creation of Clearport Clearing, the first commercially successful OTC clearing platform. Mr. Collins also founded MotherRock: a $500,000,000 hedge fund specialising in energy derivatives trading, which closed in 2007. In 2008, in partnership with NASDAQ, Mr. Collins was also a founding partner in a new clearinghouse: the International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDCG), which was recently sold to LCH Clearnet.
Before leading NYMEX, Mr. Collins served as Senior Vice President at El Paso Merchant Energy, where he was the head derivatives trader in natural gas and led the trading team to earn more than $1,000,000,000 in annual revenue. He has also served as an options market maker on the trading floor at NYMEX and worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Mr. Collins has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University.

Robert Stribling Advisor

Bob is a senior financial services executive with over 30 years of experience in risk management, compliance, and corporate governance, along with a diverse range of other roles covering strategy, front-line sales, and management of IT/Operations.  Over recent years, he has been especially focused on organisational culture, and how it drives both company success and the quality of governance. Most recently, he served as a Managing Director with Itau-Unibanco in Brazil, with responsibilities covering market risk, wholesale credit risk, and insurance risk.  Prior to this, he served as Group CRO and a member of the Executive Committee for Suncorp Group in Australia.  He has extensive international experience.

Bob is known for taking on challenging situations, and driving their resolution.  With a thoughtful, considered, and pragmatic style, he has a track record of bringing individuals together, and opening people’s minds to different ideas/solutions.  Bob lives by the credo that there are always multiple solutions to any challenge, and that the best solution needs to fit with the structure, culture, and organisational dynamics that exist within each company. He is also known for innovative, lateral thinking (in both technical and strategic areas), with a demonstrated ability to drive new ideas through to completion.  

Robert holds a Bachelor Science Degree in Human Relations & Organisational Behaviour from the University of San Francisco.

Steve Becchio Senior Vice President Of Engineering

Steve is an experienced technology leader with over 25 years experience in enterprise systems design and development. His background includes senior roles on large scale projects and international client engagements.

He brings a strong skill set with extensive experience in both information technology and financial markets, along with a proven ability to think both strategically and creatively.

Previously, Steve served in senior systems development and management roles within the financial markets for major international banking and clearing exchange clients. These include Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Royal Bank of Canada, HSBC, KPEI, Treasury Corp Victoria and CDCC (Montreal).

Steve holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance (Economics) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney.
